Angela D’Ospina

Angela D’Ospina is an Italian painter based in Florence, Italy. She graduated cum laude at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze under the professor Adriano Bimbi where she also obtained a master’s degree in painting. In 2015 she founded the artist group Aula 23 with whom she has worked on various independent projects in Tuscany, and par- ticipated in exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She was awarded first prize in the competition University Selection 2016/2017 of Tzukuba in Japan in 2016, and in 2018 was among the ten finalists of Il cerchio e le nuvole. In 2019, D’Ospina participated in the Artefici del nostro tempo competition with the theme of the 58th Venice Biennale May You Live in Interesting Time, where she was recognized among ten finalists. Her solo exhibition Epifanie di Natura at the Museo Sala delle Colonne in Pontassieve in 2019 was curated by art historian and former Uffizi director Antonio Natali, and co-curated by Adriano Bimbi.

In 2021 she exhibited in two important museums in China, the Shanghai International Convention Center and the Jiaxing Museum, while from 2019 to 2022, with the traveling exhibition still in progress, The voice and the miracle. Expressions of the contemporary by exhibiting in the most important palaces of Italy. Since 2022 she has been included among the Excellent Painters of the Italian writer and journalist Camillo Langone. In 2022 he graduated cum laude from the Master’s Degree in Painting Methodologies. She currently lives and works in Florence.
